Equilibrium Close Contact Chaps for Mud Fever - Pair

The Equilibrium Close Contact Chaps help to prevent mud fever by keeping legs dry and mud free; they fit like a second skin whilst allowing the skin to breathe. The Equilibrium Close Contact Chaps are made from the patented Stomatex material. Stomatex is a high performance fabric made from a lightweight, ultra-thin, non-porous, membrane that is weatherproof and highly breathable - the only material than can be worn for long periods at any level of physical activity without overheating.

The Equilibrium Close Contact Chaps can be worn for up to 12 hours with minimum risk of rubbing. Stomatex makes the close contact chaps soft and comfortable to wear, whilst offering the protection and support of bandages. Also extreme flexibility means that the chaps do not hinder your horse's movement and can cover the whole leg including the coronary band and heel.

The outer layer of the equilibrium close contact chaps has been treated with a PU coating for water resistance. The Close contact chaps do offer mild protection from brushing and over reaching.

Not suitable for horses with an allergy to neoprene.

Can I ride in Equi-chaps®? Yes, a number of customers do use them to hack out in if the conditions are wet & muddy.

Can I use Equi-chaps® if my horse already has mud fever? No the condition must be completely cleared before using the Chaps or indeed any boot.

Are Equi-chaps® suitable for my horse who has a severe brushing action? No, as there is no hard strike pad and therefore the Chap will show premature wear.

Care Instructions:

For washing instructions, refer to back of manual.

After removal, hose the Chaps and hang to dry.

Ensure they are fully dry before they are put back on the horse.
