Be prepared for Pony Club Camp

Be prepared for Pony Club Camp

Camp is going to be a blast! Preparing well will help you make sure you have fun. It's never too early to start preparing.

Be prepared, be smart, and you'll have plenty of fun at camp! Hopefully our camping checklist will help you make sure you have all the ponycamp essentials and more!

What to take for yourself:

Bring a sleeping bag and pillow

Pack at least two pairs of breeches and two polo shirts, riding hat and body protector, boots and chaps

Bring soap, shampoo and a toothbrush

Bring sunscreen, bug spray, lip balm and weather appropriate clothing (depending on where camp is located).

Include extra spending money for shopping at the camp store if there is one

You will need to bring your pony or horse

Pack a first aid kit for you and your horse

When packing for Pony Club camp, remember to bring your wet weather gear, a tent and lots of layers.

Things for your pony:

Make sure your tack (saddle pad, saddle, bridle, reins, bit) and horse's equipment is in good condition.

Along with tack, bring grooming supplies (curry comb, brush, hoof pick), brushes and fly spray.

Don't forget a fly rug and turnout rug in case of rain.

You may also need mucking out tools, hay, haynets and water buckets.

With this checklist under your belt, you can be more confident that you will have all your Pony Club needs covered.

You may not be able to predict all the unexpected situations you may happen upon, but being prepared will definitely give you a better chance at having a fantastic time. If you remember these tips, then pony camp will be just what you hoped for.
