Mane and Tail Detanglers

The secret to achieving a long, flowing, silky mane and tail for your horse involves not only a good diet and "hairy" genetic heritage, but also the way you clean and care for the tresses.
When you shampoo a horse's mane and tail make sure you work the lather right down to the roots, and don't just concentrate on washing the hair length.
Clogged and dirty roots can impede hair growth. Don't scrub the length of the hair too vigorously or it could break.
When it comes to conditioning and detangling keep away from the roots (again to avoid clogging them) and work it through gently with a comb, leaving it in to protect the hair if you plan on braiding.
