Horse Systems Inc. was started in 1980 in Vermont, USA, to manufacture a treatment for splints occurring on the legs of horses. Splintex hit the market and soon became a highly respected treatment for splints globally. Splints manifest as swellings and bony enlargements located on the splint bones on both forelegs and hindlegs of horses. At best they are unsightly, and at worst can cause lameness. Splintex has proved highly successful at eliminating splints when used appropriately.
