Safety Aids
Safety in the saddle is a primary concern for all riders. The most common aid to safety and security while riding is a neck strap, which, while it will not necessarily prevent you falling, can assist along with rein contact to stop a spooked or bolting horse.
Many riders use stirrup leathers as a neck strap, but this is not ideal because they are generally too wide and heavy for the purpose. We therefore stock purpose-designed neck straps for riders (like many top eventers) who gain confidence from this safety aid.
Another aid we heartily recommend is the British invention - Libby's R-S-Tor. This device attaches to the saddle stirrup bars, providing a helping hand for riders should the horse spook, jump, buck or rear.
