It was amidst scenes of jubilation that he was crowned king of 2-mile chasers at Cheltenham in 1998, laying the ghosts of previous attempts to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup when he clearly did not stay the distance. Holding a special place in people''s affections, on his One Man was a truly great horse.
