Open the leaves of any Aloe Vera plant and you will find a rich slimy gel, which can be rubbed straight on the skin. This Aloe Vera gel has a great affinity for skin and epithelial tissue making it appropriate for both internal and external use
The Hilton Herbs 2:1 Aloe Vera extract is of human food grade and can be used both internally and externally for horses, dogs or any animal.
The Aloe Vera extract also makes a great base liquid to which other essential oils and tinctures can be added to create skin washes, gels and sprays.
Feed Aloe Vera at the following doses:
Horse dosage : 50 to 120mls per day
Canine dosage : up to 25kg give 2.5 to 5mls daily, 30+kg give 5mls daily increasing towards 10mls
Cat dosage (average weight 4kg) : 10 to 15 drops twice daily (1ml = 20 drops)
Aloe Vera can have a laxative effect, so always start with the lower dose
